Description: 

This is a virtual product - You are purchasing STL files for download for self-3D printing under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Virtual Product: This is not a physical item, these are downloadable STL files.

These are the print files for our GP3D Tool Handle. This can be used with Allen driver tips and Reamer bits - anything with a shaft dia of approx 3mm up to 4mm and the Speed tip type. And potentially any other tips you may have with a shaft of the above specs.

Includes individual .stl files for all the parts plus Prusa Slicer 3mf files and 'suggested but untested' Bambu 3mf files.

Select File:

  • The dropdown lists the iteration with a date and version (if there are additional variants/updates these will be added to the drop down over time.
  • After you select and checkout (100% discount for GP3D Members) you will receive an email with the link to download the zip file
  • The zip files contain all the .stl files and .3mf slicer files as at that version
  • The 3mf files are created in Prusa Slicer and hence best viewed/used in that slicer. You can open them in other slicers but please note some settings may not be persisted correctly. If you join GP3D Member Collective, there is endless discussion, tips and direct printing help in our Discord server.

 

Printing/Assembly/Usage Recommendation:

  • Please read the Release Notes text file contained in the download zip.
  • Assembly Diagram is included in the download zip. 
  • Suggestion:
    • I used PETG filament for printing the Handle, Base and Cover
  • The 3mf has configured: colour change steps and paint on fuzzy skin that are optional to creating a styling and texture of the finished item. 
  • I have printed the Arbors and Labels using PCBlend but this my personal preference and not essential, both 3mf files are included for PrusaSlicer. 
  • Some M3 hardware items are required for assembly:
    • M3 x3mm set screws 2x is adequate for holding the tool tip (4 holes available).
    • M3cs x6mm x2 to secure the Arbor
    • M3cs x12mm~20mm x1 for attaching the Base
      • Note: this can tightened fully or back off partially for a rotating base in your palm - tune as desired for your preferred feel!
  • The cover is useful for sharp tools, such as reamers, but not essential for Allen drivers, up to your usage/storage preferences.
