Our Story...
About 2015 I had a vision to create a scale looking and working RC car based on my love of Formula 1 history...especially those iconic cars of the late 1960's...a time when sex was safe and motor racing was dangerous...!
A little about me! My name is Andrew Cooke, I live in Australia and have raced RC cars since my mum bought me the iconic Tamiya Frog and then a Tamiya Rothmans 956 Porsche in the late 80's. I was hooked and started racing electric off-road in the early days and then on-road since it's emergence in the early 90's. My favourite classes are 12th scale, Pro-10 and F1...of course!
A few years back now I first tried to realise my "historic Grand Prix RC car" vision by searching out and utilising existing RC car parts to cobble together a working model using VTA tyres and a lexan shell available at the time...ummm....this did not turn out well and being disappointed with the result the plan was shelved...
Fast forward to ~2019 and I discovered the world of 3D printing!
Suddenly this opened up so many possibilities and without fully realising the enormity of embarking on such a project I accelerated at full speed to finally realise my vision and bring this beautiful RC car to life...
Then quite quickly I realised I could not only create 'one' car for myself to play with, but I could actually scale a production line to create many for all of us to enjoy!
The result has exceeded even my original visions - and for that reason I wanted to produce and share this amazing RC model with you all...
